As usual there is always different perceptions and interpretations of the stories and the people in it. Until one day I sat down to ask the meaning of this poem. I hated learning Malayalam and its’ complex words and the right pronunciations. Apart from that fact that my father always spoke about how much he loved Vayalar. I grew up hearing it, being recited regularly by my dad. ‘Thadaka enna Dravida Rajakumari’ a Malayalam poem by Vayalar Ravi Verma, always held a special place in my heart.
